On February 4, 2010 SNSD held a donation campaign with music site Lunchbox. In the Music Dream campaign, Netizens will click the "join" button on the site Dosirak and 3% of the purchase price will be accumulated as a reserve. This reserve will be delivered to the donation group, "Korea Make Wish Foundation".[126]
On April 8, 2011, it has been announced that a portion of the revenue from their Japanese single MR. TAXI / Run Devil Run would be donated to Japan's Red Cross in order to provide assistance to the victims of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.[72]
SNSD, f(x), SHINee will be taking part in an effort to help African children. On August 9, 2011 the groups were joined by United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Kimoon in the ‘Help African Children’ project co-organized by the Korean Red Cross Society and the Korean UNICEF committee.[127]
Girls' Generation will be appearing on the September 17th episode of KBS‘ ‘Love Request‘ to donate blood. Through the program they will invite a girl with a heart condition and a blind boy to fly to Korea to receive treatment. SNSD will also be participating in a blood drive campaign during the show together with Super Junior.[128]
On September 21 was revealed that Woongjin Coway will be holding a “Beautiful Auction” event at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo with female idol group Girls’ Generation on the 27th to help women who are neglected.[129]
SNSD's member Seohyun released a digital song "Dreams Comes True" together with Donghae on the 11th and proceeds will be donated to UNICEF. The funds will be used to treat children who are suffering in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Djibouti.[123]
